Elder Fred D. Parker

Elder Fred Parker was born in Tuskegee, AL. on 7/7/1945 to Area Lee Johnson (Miller) and O.D. Parker; both parents preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by his stepfather, John T. Miller and his special aunt, Johnnie M. Burks; one sister Annie Ruth Davis; one brother Jasper Magruder Sr; and 5 cousins (brothers).

Elder Fred Parker first made his home in Pine Buff, AR, before moving to Kansas City, Mo, in 1955. He later spent time in California, eventually returning to Kansas, where he remained a devoted resident until his passing.

Elder Fred Parker graduated from Manual High School and later earned his degree from the Mid America Nazarene College of Nursing, his devotion to learning, continued through his studying and teaching of the Bible.

Elder Fred Parker begin attending New Day Apostolic Church in 1971, where he was baptized by Naomi Haynes. He was ordained by Bishop Daniel M. Jordan in 2000. Fred and his wife Kristine, together with long time friend Edward Jackson, Pastored at Gods House of Prayer. Over the years, Fred and Kristine baptized, several family members and friends.

Elder Fred Parker was a talented painter and construction worker whose work on Kansas City's historic landmarks, including the Royals Stadium, leaves a lasting legacy. His skill, dedication, and pride in his community will be remembered by all who sees the city he helped shape.

Elder Fred Parker was the father of Conrad Parker(Courtney)of Kansas City, MO, and Toni Walker of Raymore MO, born of his first marriage to Margo Williams. He was later united in holy matrimony to H. Kristine Parker, who (preceded him in death), yet with whom he shared 49 years of love, faith, and cherished companionship.

Together, they raised 5 sons, James L. Belcher (Gwen) of Kansas City, KS; K. Corye' Belcher of Shawnee, KS; Randall Hayes Parker of Kansas City, KS; Ronald Hayes Parker of Kansas City, KS; and Richard Hayes Parker, who (preceded him in death)."

Elder Fred Parker is lovingly remembered by 15 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, his stepsister, Vanessa Perkins and all whose lives he touched.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday December 2, 2025, visitation will beheld from 10 A.M. - 11 A.M. Funeral Services begin at 11 A.M.  at Golden Gate Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC 2800 East 18th St. KCMO 64127.

Interment: Forest Hill Cemetery
