Eldon C. Spivey Jr., age 72, of Portland, Tennessee, gained his heavenly wings September 19, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Adairville, Kentucky, on August 6, 1952.
Eldon had many accomplishments in life; from overcoming polio and learning to walk again, to learning how to walk in the light of the Lord. He was a remarkable man that never let anything stand in his way. Eldon touched many lives through his church and as a missionary in Honduras. He took yearly trips to teach about the Lord, and to help people less fortunate. Eldon made many dear friends through his ministry. All that knew him, loved him.
He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend to many. We will honor you by living well, talking about you often and sharing the world of joy you brought into it. Fly high with the angels until we meet again. You will be in our hearts forever.
Eldon leaves behind the love of his life and devoted wife of 50 years, Mary K. (Barrett) Spivey; sons, Don Spivey(April) and Anthony Spivey(Lucia); grandsons who were his pride and joy, Noah Spivey, Sebastian Spivey; unborn grandson, Leo Eldon Spivey; sisters, Delia Burns(Jeff), Renata Cowley, Jerry Waters; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
