Eldra Ann Cain Davis, 82, of Bladenboro went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. She was born and raised in Bladen County, daughter of the late Frank Cain and Bessie Willoughby Cain.
Eldra was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who were the apple of her eye. She enjoyed attending all their sporting events when her health allowed or just sitting with them listening to the stories of how the game went. Eldra was an active member in her home church where at times she served as a Sunday School teacher, WMU Leader, Church Secretary and choir member. She was an avid reader and frequent visitor of the Bladen County Libraries. A sweet, loving lady that will be dearly missed.
Eldra was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Terry Davis. She is survived by son Craig Davis (Kathy) of Bladenboro, daughter Lynn Brisson (Gary) of Dublin, brothers J.D. Cain (Ann) of Lumberton and Houston Cain of Florence, SC, two granddaughters Madilyn Brisson, Holland Davis and two grandsons, Cole Brisson and Nate Davis.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm on Saturday, November 18th at Sandy Grove Baptist Church in Bladenboro. Funeral service will immediately follow at 2 pm with the Reverend Kevin Kinlaw officiating. Services will conclude in the Bladen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Elizabethtown.
At other times the family will receive friends at the home of Craig and Kathy Davis, 919 5th St. Bladenboro, NC 28320.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Bladen County Library, the Bladen Baptist WMU, or Wesley Pines of Lumberton.
