Eleanor E. Bennett

Eleanor E. (nee Conover) Bennett, 91 of Wall, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, October 23, 2021. Eleanor was a lifelong resident of Wall Township. She was a graduate of Manasquan High School. Eleanor went on to receive her bachelor and master's degrees in Education. She taught for the Wall Township Board of Education for over thirty years. She primarily taught first grade at West Belmar Elementary School. Eleanor enjoyed watching and feeding her birds, was very talented at sewing, and enjoyed talking to her circle of friends via the telephone. She was very active at the Full Gospel Church until the early 1990's, and then again at Calvary Lighthouse, and finally at Allenwood Church until COVID pandemic hit.
Eleanor was predeceased by her beloved husband Paul Bennett in 2013, her parents Fred and Mildred Conover, and her brother Arnold Conover. She is survived by a brother John "Jack" Conover and his wife Betty of Wall, NJ, and a sister-in-law Vera Conover of Wall, NJ. She was an aunt to her three nieces Jane Conover, Phyliss Conover and Gail Brubaker, as well as to her nephew John Conover. Eleanor is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, and cousins and a host of dear friends. Her family will be ever grateful to the care Eleanor received from her dear neighbor Janet and her caregiver Bea.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, October 30, 2021, from 11 am until 1 pm, with a funeral service to begin at 1 pm. Interment to follow at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls, NJ.
