Eleanor F. (Cafferty) Flanagan, 91, of Warwick, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Leo F. Flanagan, with whom she shared 60 wonderful years of marriage. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late James F. and Ann G. (McGinity) Cafferty. A long-time resident of Warwick, Eleanor was a dedicated parishioner of both The Church of the Assumption and St. Clement Church.
Eleanor spent much of her life as a devoted homemaker and in her later years worked as an Assistant with The Royal Manor Nursing Home in East Greenwich. Known for her warm heart and caring nature, Eleanor also devoted time to the community as a Campfire leader and as the last remaining member of the "Bag Ladies" Club.
Family was at the center of Eleanor's life. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved hosting Thanksgiving gatherings, as well as summer pool parties for her entire family, where laughter and love filled the home. Her family meant the most to her, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Eleanor is predeceased by her cherished daughter Maureen Rhoads and survived by her children, Kathleen Keoghan and her husband Brian, James P. Flanagan, and Thomas Flanagan and his wife Holly; Brothers-in-Law, John Szylin and Edward Flanagan; fifteen adored grandchildren, Sarah D'Ambra, Emily Vaughan, Peter and Kevin Keoghan, Eric, Scott, Kyle, Christopher, Owen, Bennett, and Ellie Flanagan, Andrew, Michael, and Jill Fredette, and Ely Rhoads; as well as 15 beloved great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to join her Visitation on Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 10-11am, followed by a Chapel Service at 11am, in the Thomas and Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave, Warwick.
