Eleanor Hamilton

Eleanor (Ferguson) Hamilton, age 87, of North East, passed away on Thursday August 10, 2023 at Parkside North East. She was born on August 5, 1936 in Baltimore, MD the daughter of the late George K.S. and Margaret (Braham) Ferguson. Eleanor attended North East High School and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of North East. She was formerly employed as a secretary by Worster Motor Lines, Welch Foods, and North East Motors. Eleanor was Judge of Election for many years and worked the polls in North East for over 40 years. Eleanor loved spending time with her family and friends and will be sadly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave W. Hamilton Jr. Eleanor is survived by her children, George William Hamilton (Leann) of Milford, NH and Tammy Louise Coburn (James) of North East; sister, Mary Jean McEwen (Mack) of Erie; grandchildren, James Coburn (Whitney) of Madison, WI, Dr. Adam Hamilton (Lindsay) of Bend, OR, Grant Hamilton (Dat) of North Highlands, CA, David Coburn (Jade) of Wattsburg, PA and Mark Hamilton (Elizabeth) of Wells, ME; great granddaughter, Myelle Rose Hamilton; great grandsons, Grayson Breter, Jackson Coburn, Carson Coburn and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in North East. Officiating the service is Rev. Gregg Townsend. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 25 West Main Street, North East, PA 16428 or to the charity of one's choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the William D.
