Eleanor Caroline Mensing, of North East, MD, a beloved mother and friend, passed away on April 21, 2025, at the age of 81. Born in Philadelphia, PA, on November 12, 1943, Eleanor touched the lives of many during her time on this earth. She dedicated a large part of her life to education as a school bus aide with Cecil County Public Schools, ensuring countless children got to school safely and happily. She enjoyed watching QVC, reading and playing computer games.
Eleanor is lovingly remembered by her children: her son Charles Mensing of North East, MD, her daughters Debbie LaRouche of New Castle, DE and Robin Mensing of North East, MD; along with her five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Her warmth and kindness will surely be missed by all who knew her.
Eleanor was preceded in death by: her husband Roy Mensing, Sr.; parents Samuel R. Duffield, Sr. and Carrie (Stoll) Duffield; and her son Roy John Mensing, Jr.
We will remember Eleanor for her love, laughter, and the simple joys she brought to those around her. She will forever remain in our hearts.
