Eleanor Frances Warwick Fisher, 84, of Hot Springs, Virginia, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, June 2, 2025.
Born October 26, 1940, in Mountain Grove, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Robert Nelson Warwick and Mary Ann Pauline Head Warwick.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold Franklin Fisher, who passed on July 7, 1995; her brother, Robert Warwick; and five sisters: Charlotte Loughner, Janet Friel, Lucille Plogger, Mary Gibson, and Pansy Gibson.
She is survived by her son, Michael T. Fisher (Sharon Crummett), her grandsons, Maxwell L. Fisher (Heather Brinkley) and Mason H. Fisher; her great-granddaughters, Isabella, Sparrow, and Maybelle Fisher; and her sisters, Mildred Lowry and Nell Broce, all of Hot Springs, Virginia. She is also lovingly remembered by her former daughter-in-law, Tina Miller, who remained a devoted part of her life. Eleanor is further survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, all of whom she held dear. Eleanor's love and presence will also be missed by her extended church family at Sinking Spring Presbyterian Church, with whom she shared years of fellowship and faith. She also shared a special friendship with her neighbor Carol Martin, whose kindness and companionship meant so much to her.
Eleanor will be remembered for her resilience, quiet kindness, and deep love for her family. Her strength and steady presence touched the lives of all who knew her. She was widely known as a strong and hardworking woman; she wasn't one to back down from life's challenges and inspired others by the way she faced them.
She was known for her delicious home-cooked meals; family and friends always looked forward to sitting at her table. She found joy in gardening, catching up with friends and family, telling stories, and reminiscing about the good ole' days. She had a hearty, unforgettable laugh and a gift for making everyone, even a stranger, feel welcome.
Eleanor lived a life of quiet faith and generosity. A longtime member of Sinking Springs Church, she served as president of the women of the church for many years. She also worked for many years at The Homestead as a dishwasher, where her dedication and strong work ethic earned her deep respect and lasting friendships.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. Instead, on Saturday, June 7, her family welcomes all who knew and loved Eleanor to stop by her home to share memories, visit, and celebrate her life together.
"Well done, good and faithful servant."
