Eleanor Webster Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Gleason Funeral Home of North Brunswick (Formerly Selover) on Dec. 15, 2025.
Eleanor (Kazar) Webster, age 93, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025, at her daughter's home in Senoia, Georgia.
Born and raised in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Eleanor attended St. Peter's High School. After graduating high school, she went straight into nursing school, beginning what would become a lifelong career of caring for others. It was during this time that she met the love of her life, John Webster. They married and settled in Edison, New Jersey, where they began raising their family. The couple later moved to Somerset, New Jersey, where they resided for more than 30 years while continuing to raise their family.
Eleanor dedicated her professional career to nursing. She began working as a nurse at St. Peter's Hospital in New Brunswick and later joined Johnson & Johnson, also in New Brunswick, where she served as a health and safety nurse until her retirement in 1993.
Following retirement, Eleanor and John moved to Monroe Township and enjoyed many happy years together in the Rossmoor community. Eleanor loved to travel and treasured vacations with friends to the Poconos and Fort Myers. She was known for hosting memorable family picnics and gatherings and truly adored her family above all else. A woman of strong faith, Eleanor was a longtime and devoted parishioner of St. Peter the Apostle Parish in New Brunswick.
Eleanor was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Webster; her brothers, Robert Kazar, William Kazar, Elmer Kazar, Charles Kazar, Richard Kazar, Carl Kazar, Walter Kazar, Edward Kazar, Raymond Kazar, Ernest Kazar; her sisters, Helen Kazar, Betty Lou Franklin, and Grace Rabb; and her cherished grandson, Ronnie.
She is survived by her six loving children: John Webster and his wife Cris, Kathleen Wertz and her husband Ed, Mary Frances Webster Kinninburgh and her husband Mike, Carol Miller and her husband Gerald, Ellen Frederick, Jackie Cochran and her husband Todd. She is also survived by her sister, Mona Tompkins; her twelve grandchildren-Ernie, Nathan, Kelly, Taylor, Lisa, Jenny, Zakary, Jacob, Joseph, Nicholas, Carson, and Jordan; and her two adored great-grandchildren, Logan and Sophia.
A formal visitation will be held at Gleason Funeral Home in Somerset, New Jersey, on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 4:00-8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Church in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Burial and graveside committal services will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick.
