" To know her was to love her "

Mrs. Elena (Tiso) Einik, of Watertown, entered into the Gates of Heaven on Friday, July 18, 2025 in the comfort of her home in the presence of loving family. She was the widow of John Joseph Einik.

Elena was born in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Filippo and Maria Libera (Claricurzio) Tiso. She was a graduate of Leavenworth High School. With her outgoing personality, it was no surprise she would find her niche in sales where she would make many lifelong friends. Always having a song in her heart, she sang with a band that went on to become famous as "The Playmates". She also performed in venues across the state including the Thomaston Opera House. But her proudest achievement was being a Mom and Mana. Always a fashionista, she was known for her style and love of anything leopard. Her door was always open and she will forever be remembered for her words of wisdom, positive outlook and warm heart, making you feel better when you left than when you walked in. She is often described as "the nicest person I ever met".

Elena leaves to honor and cherish her memory her daughter, Lori Nelson and her husband Dr. Andrew Nelson of Southbury, granddaughters, Katharine Zarrella of Manhattan, NY and Nantucket, MA and Lily Zarrella and her husband Ted Rainaud of Boston, MA and Nantucket, MA. Son in law Ronald Zarrella as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends who were considered family. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Linda Zarrella, brother Joseph Tiso and two sisters, Carmel Tarasewicz and Rose Stango, along with her niece Judith Reilly.

A special "thank you" from the family to her caregivers. Sandy Rizk, her "partner in crime," who became a best friend. Also, Genta Latifi and Kelly Mondak for their dedication, care, kindness and love for Elena. We will never forget you.

Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial with Elena's cremains present will be celebrated on Saturday, August 16th at 10am at St. John the Evangelist Church in Watertown. Everyone attending is asked to meet directly at the Church.

If you would like to celebrate Elena's life and legacy the family asks that you wear something "leopard' in her honor.

The final disposition will be private and at the convenience of the family. Chase Parkway Memorial, The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury has been entrusted with Elena's arrangements.
