Elender Magdalene Morrison

Elender "Ellie" Magdalene Morrison gracefully transitioned to her eternal rest on May 2, 2025. Born on June 7, 1940, to the late JW and Lee Annie Ashmore, Ellie dedicated her life to her faith. A devoted member of the Apostolic Church in North Little Rock, she embraced Jesus Christ wholeheartedly, adding His name to every prayer she offered. At just nine years old, on August 24, 1949, she experienced the transformative gift of the Holy Ghost, which inspired her lifelong commitment to her faith.
Ellie's professional journey included a successful career in retail, culminating in her retirement from both JCPenney and Dillard's, where her remarkable sales achievements earned her numerous accolades, which she always attributed to God's blessings. Passionate about her family and friends, she took pride in her beautiful yard, often regarded as the most stunning in Cabot. Music brought her joy, and she cherished deep conversations with her loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her parents, JW and Lee Annie Ashmore; siblings Ted, Hollis, Charley, and Harvey Ashmore; her husband, Robert Lee Morrison; and her cherished son, Robert Dwayne Morrison. Ellie leaves behind her daughter, Tamera Morrison; grandchildren Brandon Pennington, Robert Dwayne Morrison Jr. (and Nikki Morrison), Sarah Brooke, Caleb Lee Morrison, and Michael Hawthorne; great-grandchildren Jackson and Katelyn Pennington, Skylar and Robbie Morrison, Robert and Waylon Brooke; along with her lifelong best friend, Cynthia Boggs, who stood by her side for 45 years. In her spirit, Ellie encourages us to always serve God, assuring us that she will be waiting to see us again. "C u there."
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at the Apostolic Church of North Little Rock with interment to follow at Rest Hills cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home.
