Eleni Efthimiou

Eleni Efthimiou, a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother & great grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 9th, 2025, at the age of 89 surrounded by her family.
She was born on May 25, 1935, in the small town of Demati, Ioannina, Greece, to parents Anastasios and Anastasia Pappas & was predeceased by her husband Nick and all four of her siblings, Chris, John, Maria & Panagoula. Eleni came to America in 1967, working very hard to provide for her family who meant the world to her. She enjoyed shopping trips with her sisters, walks on the Parkway, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and the latest addition to the family, her great granddaughter. She will be greatly missed by her 2 children, James (Mary) & Peggy (Gus), her four grandchildren Alexia, Nick (Melena), Lena & Marina, and her great granddaughter Mariella.
Funeral arrangements:
Family and friends are invited to the viewing Thursday, February 13th, 2025, at 10am to 11am at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral 256 S 8th St, Philadelphia, PA 19107.
Funeral service will begin promptly at 11am. Internment will be in Fernwood Cemetery, Lansdowne, PA.
