Elfriede Boyle Alvey, 93, of Annapolis passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025 after a very full and happy life. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Peter and Hermine Muessig, Elfriede graduated from the St. Peters School and worked for the FBI in their Regional office where she met and married the love of her life, Paul. In 1963, Elfriede and Paul, along with their 3 children, moved to Annapolis where she remained a Maryland resident for the next 62 years.
In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Elfriede was an active member of the Ladies of the Elks and also served as a hospital volunteer. In her later years she enjoyed traveling around the United States in her motor home and spending the winter season in Okeechobee, FL
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Peter Muessig and his wife, Dorothy and her husbands, Paul Boyle and Howerton Alvey.
Elfriede is survived by her children, John (Julie) Boyle, Paul "PJ" (Meredith) Boyle and Carolann (Scott) Hennessy; her grandchildren, Steven (Jess), Jamie (Nick), Peter, Caroline (Jon), Kendall (Nick) Rosati and Blake Hennessy; her great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Charlie and Connor Rosati, as well as BFF, Emme Ray and many friends and loving family.
