Elida F. Servantes, 95, of Port Lavaca, Texas passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025. She was born on February 17, 1930, in Yorktown, Texas to the late Gonzalo Sr., and Cecilia Figueroa.
Elida was a great seamstress, she loved playing Bingo, going to Delta, play dominoes, and checkers. She enjoyed playing games with her son-in-laws. She loved taking vacation trips with Gloria and Sundance. She loved crocheting especially, making blankets and giving them away. Her greatest passion was babysitting, she loved children.
Leaving to cherish her memory are her daughters, Dora Servantes Escobar, Delia Servantes Velasquez, Gloria Servantes Kuecker and husband Sundance.
Preceded in death by her parents, Gonzalo Sr. and Cecilia Figueroa; husband, Manuel Servantes; son-in-laws, Robert Escobar and Ray Velasquez; Grandson, Isaih Christopher Bland; brothers Gonzalo (Gonzalito) Figueroa, Jr., Felix Figueroa, Sr., Juan Figueroa, Sr., and Santos Figueroa, Sr.; sisters, Edelmira Elizando, Elfida Arenas.
Visitation will begin Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 9:00AM – 10:00AM, with a Rosary to be recited at 10:00AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church. Interment at 2:00PM at Loma Alta Cemetery in Kennedy, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Rene Figueroa, Anthony Serinal, Eloy Cisneros, Raymond Villanueva, Jeremy Delgado, and Adan Figueroa. Honorary Pallbearers are Sundance Kuecker, David Rodriguez and Roger Rodriguez.
