Elidia V. Ramón, 80, of Pecos, Texas, passed away on April 27, 2025, in Irving, Texas while visiting her family.
Elidia was born in Fort Stockton, Texas, to Inez Valenzuela and Antonia Ramos Valenzuela on April 7, 1945.
She graduated from Fort Stockton High School & Business College in Odessa, Texas.
She married Amonario P. Ramon in on April 4th, 1967, lived in Pecos, and started her career working at the Reeves County courthouse for over 20 years.
Elidia was a woman of many talents and joys. She loved gardening, sewing, creating art, pottery, and dancing to the rhythms of Cumbias, Elvis Presley, and Pérez Prado.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Inez and Antonia Valenzuela.
Elidia is survived by her three beloved sons: Amonario “Rio” Ramón Jr., Anthony Eric Ramón, and Aldo Ellis Ramón.
Her cherished grandchildren are Ameyalli Esperanza Ramón, Zabella Marley Ramón, and Catalina Juanita Ramón.
A viewing will be held at Pecos Funeral Home on Thursday, May 1st at 1:00 PM, followed by a Rosary at7:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 2nd at Santa Rosa Catholic Church. She will be buried next to her late husband Honorable Judge Amonario P. Ramon at Evergreen Cemetery. A reception will follow at St. Catherine’s Hall.
Pallbearers will be Lee Gonzales, Eddie Sanchez, Marcus Sanchez, Christopher Sanchez, Isaac Carrasco, and Calob Pallanes. Arthur Sanchez will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.
