ELIJAH JARED JAMES, 18, passed away Monday, October 6, 2025 in Charlotte, NC.
A native of Florence, Elijah was a son of William James Byrd and Kimberly Celeste James. He lived in Aiken for a while and attended Chukker Creek Elementary School, Kennedy Middle School and South Aiken High School. He also attended the youth group on Wednesdays at Millbrook Baptist Church.
Surviving is his father, William Byrd, Florence, SC; mother, Kimberly James, Charlotte, NC; paternal grandparents, William Andrew and Melissa L. Stark, Aiken, SC; maternal grandparents, Marshall and Michelle James; sisters, Jasmine James and Mariah James, both of Florence, SC; aunt, Ashley Byrd, Latta, SC; uncle, Brandon Byrd, Myrtle Beach, SC and cousins.
The family will receive friends Saturday, October 18th from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held from the graveside in Historic Bethany Cemetery with The Rev. Bill Howard III officiating.
