Lakiesha Jenkins Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jackson-Brooks Funeral Home on Dec. 24, 2025.
Lakiesha Renee Kirk-Jenkins was born on September 19, 1973, in Aiken, SC. She departed this life on December 20, 2025 surrounded by the promise of eternal life. Today, we celebrate the homegoing of a precious woman whose heart belonged first to God and always to her family. She lived with a quiet strength, rooted in faith and finding joy in serving, loving and lifting others up. She joined Evening Light Church of God and served faithfully in the culinary ministry, sanctuary choir, ROC choir, and the youth council. She was a graduate of South Aiken High School and Chris Logan School of Cosmetology. She spent most of her career life as a cosmetologist as seeing beauty in others was her ministry. She later started her business "Lovly Creations" as crafting is one of her greatest passions. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Terrence Jenkins, Aiken, SC; two children Calvin (D'Yanna) Jenkins, Taylor (Xavier) Green and two bonus children Cameron Jenkins and Brittany Jenkins all of Aiken, SC; four grandchildren, Xavier Green Jr., Emory Samuel, Kylin Jenkins, and Kai'Yah Jenkins. She leaves her loving parents Arthur and Minister Irish Kitchings along with two brothers Anthony White and Demetrius Kitchings of Aiken SC and two sisters Charliese Thompson of Aiken, SC and Alea (Devon) Kitchings of Jackson, TN. She leaves those affectionately known as "her girls" LaShondria Turner, Kawana Pontoo-Dunbar, Michelle Carr, Greta Robinson, and LaKesha Brown-Brooks, and her God Daughter Kaydence Bryant. She leaves behind a special Aunt Rebia Moment and Uncle George Kirk. She leaves a host of other Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends. While Lakiesha will be deeply missed, she leaves a ministry of words, actions, and prayers. The legacy of Kiesha- James- Shon shall live on along with her legacy of strength, perseverance, and determination.

Ms. Jenkins will truly be missed. She spoke of her love of family and working at her church with the youth. She is most deserving of her place in heaven. MW

I am going to miss my neighbor at Aiken Davita Dialysis. Keisha helped me through many rough days at dialysis. Her inspiration was always uplifting. She was such a beautiful soul. Until we meet again....
