Elisa P. Dressel of Bridgeville, DE passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025 at the age of 64.

She was born in Mount Vernon, NY in 1960 to proud parents Warren and Mary Pielli. She was the youngest of four children and spent her childhood chasing after big sisters Patricia and Susan, and big brother Vincent. Elisa attended North Hunterdon High School before studying Early Elementary Education at University of Delaware. She proceeded to enjoy a fulfilling career as a kindergarten teacher, pouring love into her students for decades.

Elisa met the love of her life, Robert Dressel, in 1981 on a blind date arranged by family. By the end of that first date, Elisa had made up her mind that Bob was The One, and Bob had no objections or say in the matter (a dynamic that would continue for the duration of their life together). The two were married in 1983, and expanded their family with their children Maegan and Brian, and several pets added along the way - with pets always added in pairs, so they wouldn't be lonely. The years she spent raising her family were filled with lots of family game nights, shopping trips, long phone calls, deep discussions, annual "I Survived the School Year" summer parties, and more love and laughter and happiness than is possible to quantify.

Elisa enjoyed hot cups of coffee and cold beers. She spent years enjoying large family vacations, traveling the world, going to concerts and plays, antiquing,

and relaxing poolside. She loved going TO the ocean, but never IN the ocean - in fact, her family received explicit instructions not to spread her ashes in the ocean, under direct threat of her coming back to haunt us. She hated to cook, but her meatballs and sauce were unparalleled. She was an avid crafter, and her imagination gave life to several beloved pieces of art that are displayed in the homes of her loved ones, for them to continue to enjoy for years to come. An HGTV enthusiast, after Elisa had decorated her dream retirement home, she began building and renovating doll houses with a level of detail that surprised and delighted all the children who were gifted them.

Elisa is survived by her loving husband Bob, her daughter Maegan Pfeffer and her husband Erik, her son Brian Dressel and his wife Lynea, and a large extended family and cherished group of friends. Nothing brought Elisa more joy than her grandchildren Lily, Ella, Henry, and Amelia, who will all miss their beloved Nonni more than words. We will all hold on to the memories and love she brought to all of our lives.

We will be planning a celebration of Elisa's well-lived life at a future date.

Elisa and I were neighbors and went to school together. When I got my car we would drive around. One day on our way to Clinton she said doesn´t this car go any faster. I tried to follow the speed limit, but that day the foot got a little heavy. I looked forward to her Christmas letters filling us in with what everyone was doing. When she retired she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Each one held a special place in her heart! She will be missed!

So sorry. Sending my condolences. Elisa was a great friend to me at North Hunterdon and we reconnected four years ago when I retired. Heartbreaking. Kim Murray Kerns
