Elisa Belle Rodríguez de Olivas, 93, of Fort Davis, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025, in Fort Stockton, Texas.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 AM, Saturday, August 9th, 2025, with rosary at 10:30 AM, at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Davis, Texas. Burial will follow at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Fort Davis, Texas. Arrangements are entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home.
Elisa was born in Fort Davis on September 13, 1931, to Carlos Holguin Rodriguez and Elena Dutchover McIntyre. She married Ramon Dominguez Olivas on November 25, 1945, in Fort Davis, and together they had one son, Ramon Rodriguez Olivas Jr.
A lifelong homemaker and devoted member of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Davis, Elisa was known for her strong Catholic faith and kind spirit. Her unwavering devotion to "La Virgen María" was central to her life. She believed that everything, good or bad, was part of God's will, and her faith remained firm throughout her life, even without fully understanding the deeper history or politics of the religion. Her trust in God was her greatest strength. Elisa was a good person, a wonderful wife, and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had a generous heart, constantly offered prayers for her loved ones, and often said, "Que Dios los llene de bendiciones", "May God fill you with blessings."
Elisa is preceded in death by her husband Ramon Dominguez Olivas, great great grandparents Joes Maria Onate/ Coleta Saiz & Antone Diedrick Dutchover / Maria Refugia del Cora Salcido, great grandparents Henry C. Mclntyre / Urbina Bencomo & Jose Ducthover / Maria Francisca Onate, grandparents Henry Bencomo Mclntyre / Ester Onate Dutchover & Anacleto Rodriguez / Lazara Holguin, Parents Carlos Holguin Rodriguez & Elena Ducthover Mclntyre, Frderico Roza (Stepfather), Siblings Cinderella, Catarina, & Ruben Hartnett Razo.
Elisa is survived by her son Ramon Rodriguez Olivas Jr., Sister Natalia Albesa Magallanez, grandchildren Ramon Elisa Luna Olivas, Maritza Luna Olivas de Gomez, Damian Luna Olivas, and Ariana Luna Olivas, great grandchildren Juan Luis Gomez, Idaly Gomez, Oliva Gomez, Mireya Gomez, Dulce, & Ya Maya Sol.
She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
