Elisonda Herrera De Moreno, 76 passed away on June 15th, 2024, peacefully at her Daybreak home. She is reunited with her mom Margarita Garcia de Herrera, her father Jose Rafael Herrera, her husband Ivan Darío Moreno Zarate, and other family who preceded her. Elisonda was born on November 13th, 1947, to Margarita and Jose Rafael in Santa Lucia, Barinas, Venezuela.
Ivan and Elisonda had 4 children (Glenis, Yarik, Ivanely and Ivan Jose) and lived in Barinas, Venezuela until she moved to the United States to be close to her daughters.
She was a faithful member of the Catholic Church.
During her career, she was a teaching assistant at a small community school and later worked at the state university (UNELLEZ) until she retired. She was a wonderful person, her coworkers said that she was always helping others and with the biggest smile.
She is survived by daughters Glenis and granddaughters Paola (Dustin) and Elimar (Tyler), Yarik (Rafael) and granddaughter Hailey, Ivaneli (Gabriel) and grandkids Mathias and Thiago and Ivan Jose and granddaughter Adriana, her brothers Pedro Jose (Carmen) and Ronald (Jackie) and nieces and nephews Roxoli, Dayana, Nazareth, Andrea, Jose David, Jesus David and Pedro David. She loved her family and did everything for them.
Her funeral proceedings will be held Wednesday, June 19th at Anderson & Goff Mortuary, 11859 South 700 East, Draper. Viewing and Rosary (starts at 8:30 pm)-6:00pm to 9:00pm. Thursday, June 20th Funeral mass at Saint Andrews Catholic Church on 11835 3600 West, Riverton, starting at 11:00 am.
The Graveside services will follow at the Lehi City Cemetery at 1525 North 600 East Lehi, UT 84043.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Intermountain Hospice Care for their services and loving care.

Elisonda Herrera De Moreno, de 76 años, falleció pacíficamente el 15 de junio de 2024 en su casa de Daybreak. Se reencuentra con su mamá Margarita García de Herrera y su padre José Rafael Herrera al igual que con su esposo Ivan Darío Moreno Zarate y otros familiares que la precedieron. Elisonda nació el 13 de noviembre de 1947 de Margarita y José Rafael en Santa Lucía, Estado Barinas, Venezuela.
Iván y Elisonda tuvieron 4 hijos (Glenis, Yarik, Ivanely e Ivan Jose) y vivieron en Barinas, Venezuela hasta que ella se mudó a Estados Unidos para estar cerca de sus hijas.
Ella era un miembro fiel de la Iglesia Católica. Perteneció a la Legión de María.
Durante su carrera fue auxiliar de docente en una pequeña comunidad y luego trabajó en la Universidad estatal (UNELLEZ) hasta llegar a la jubilación. Era una persona maravillosa, decían sus compañeros de trabajo, siempre ayudando a los demás y con la mayor sonrisa.
Le sobreviven sus hijas Glenis y nietas Paola (Dustin), Elimar (Tyler), Yarik (Rafael) y su nieta Hailey, Ivanely (Gabriel) y sus nietos Mathias y Thiago e hijo Iván José y su nieta Adriana, sus hermanos Pedro José (Carmen) y Ronald (Jackie) y sobrinas y sobrinos Roxoli, Dayana, Andrea, Nazareth, José David, Jesus David y Pedro David. Amaba a su familia e hizo todo por ellos.
Su funeral se llevará a cabo el miércoles 19 de junio de 6:00pm a 9:00pm. La visualización en la funeraria Anderson and Goffs Mortuary de Draper y luego una misa fúnebre en las Iglesia San Andrés de la ciudad de Riverton el 20 de Junio a las 11:00am. Los servicios junto a la tumba seguirán en el Cementerio de la ciudad de Lehi en 1525 North 600 East Lehi, UT 84043
