Eliza Jones, 85, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025, at Goshen Hospital. She was born to Hershel and Rose Hershberger in Oneida, Kentucky, and spent most of her life in Goshen and Syracuse. Eliza married Larry Jones on June 15, 1958, and together they raised three wonderful children.
A 1957 graduate of Goshen High School, Eliza went on to work as a purchasing agent at Gleason Industrial Products, where she enjoyed a long career until her retirement in 1996.
Eliza was deeply devoted to her family, cherishing every moment spent with them. Her love for life was evident in everything she did, whether it was getting lost in a good book or enjoying peaceful days boating on Wawasee Lake. Her warm, vibrant personality touched everyone she met.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Larry Jones of Syracuse; her children, Patty (Kent) Miller of Warsaw, Steven Jones of Syracuse, and Peggy (Jeff) Guyas of Syracuse; as well as her 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sisters, Barbara Fry and Evelyn Miller.
Eliza was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Dustin Miller, and her brother, Raymond Hershberger.
Arrangements are under the care of Titus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, located at 1001 S. Huntington Street, Syracuse, IN 46567. A Life Celebration Visitation will take place on May 1, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 PM, all held in the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date at Syracuse Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kosciusko County Shriners Hospital Club.
