Michael Raymond Kincaid, 76, passed away Monday, March 9, 2026, at Goshen Hospital in Goshen, Indiana. Michael was born Nov. 14, 1949, in Cabin Creek, West Virginia, to Buford and Arbutus (Bailey) Kincaid. In 1959, the family moved to Goshen, Indiana, where he would spend most of his life. Mike graduated from Goshen High School in 1967. An enthusiastic athlete, he played baseball for GHS and was starting second baseman for Goshen’s first sectional championship team in 1967. Mike worked at Western Rubber Company for 25 years. Outside of work, he remained deeply involved in sports throughout his life. He played men’s basketball and men’s fast-pitch softball for many years. He dedicated countless hours coaching youth sports in the community, including Goshen JFL, Goshen Little League, FOP teams and men’s fast-pitch softball. He coached a Little League state championship team in 1996. In 2024, Mike was inducted into the Goshen Fast-Pitch Softball Hall of Fame. Mike also served as a licensed IHSAA basketball referee for many years. Mike had a deep love for music and enjoyed many different genres. Over the years he attended hundreds of concerts. Known as a true social butterfly, Mike loved striking up conversations and could talk with just about anyone about nearly anything. His friendly personality and passion for sports and music made him a familiar and beloved figure to many in the Goshen community. Mike is survived by his children, Kelly (Jason) Saenz and Justin Kincaid, both of Goshen, Indiana, and David (Amber) Kincaid of Columbia, South Carolina. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Anissa and Jackson Saenz; Braxton (Jillian), Jaylen, Dyllan, and Keaton Kincaid; and Melody Kincaid. He is further survived by his brothers, Dan Kincaid of Goshen and John Kincaid of Midlothian, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buford and Arbutus Kincaid.
