Elizabeth Ann Asker

Elizabeth Ann (Rintamaki) Asker, 86, passed away on January 24, 2026, at home in Norton, MA surrounded by her loving family. Elizabeth was a retired nurse, homemaker, and the loving wife of the late Donald L. Asker for 29 years. Born in Quincy, MA, she was the daughter of the late Arvo and Marion (Bunker) Rintamaki. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Rintamki, and her niece Jill Rintamaki McLaughlin.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Quincy High School (1957) and went on to complete her nursing degree at Quincy City Hospital School of Nursing. She worked at the VA Hospital in Brockton for many years and held other various nursing roles during her career. She was a long-time resident of South Easton, where she spent many happy years with her husband Donald raising their two daughters. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in North Easton and a long-time member of the Valkyrians women's group of the Vega Club of Brockton.

She enjoyed hobbies including ceramics and latch hook rug making. She loved gardening, and her beloved strawberry patch. She especially enjoyed cooking, including canning and baking the fresh fruits and vegetables from the garden. She loved to entertain and host family gatherings. She was well versed in history and was quite the trivia buff.

She most enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially taking care of her grandchildren, who brought her tremendous joy in her later years. Elizabeth will be remembered for her caring nature, strong will, resilience, and her funny sayings, affectionately known as "Lizisms".

Elizabeth is survived by her two daughters, their husbands, and her four grandchildren: Dawn (Asker) and William Saunders, Timothy and Milan Saunders of Norton, MA and Pamela (Asker) and Mark Wells, Samantha and Jenny Wells of North Attleboro, MA.

Visiting hours will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 143 Lincoln Street, North Easton, MA on Saturday, January 31st from 9:30-11:30 am, with a Service of Resurrection and Hope immediately following. Interment to follow at South Easton Cemetery.
