Elizabeth “Beth” Irene Tuggle Hamilton was born March 3, 1937 and passed away, on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 1:30 pm.  Beth was home, in her favorite, recliner, with her daughter Connie and her favorite sitter, Dorothy at her side.

Visitation was on Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 5 to 7 pm at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, in Homer, LA.  Officiated by Rev. Danny Baskin.  Funeral was on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 2 pm at Rose-Neath.

Beth was born to Joe and Cora Weaver Tuggle of Homer, LA. Beth graduated from Homer High School in 1955 and Ayers' Secretarial Business College in 1956, in Shreveport, LA. While in Shreveport, she worked for Dr's. RB and Stewart De Lee and CPA Mr. Benard Leary. She worked for Emerson Motor Company and Emerson Motor Oil Co.  She retired from Claiborne Electric Co-Op after a dedicated, 40 plus years, in 2003.

When James returned home from his military duty, overseas in Okinawa, in spring of 1956 and Beth  had moved back home to Homer, marrying "the one true love, of her life." They were married October 6, 1956, on her Daddy's birthday, at First United Methodist Church, in Homer, LA. Beth was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she taught 4th grade, Sunday school class. Beth was always impeccably, attired. Her special treat, was going shopping in Shreveport.  She would shop, till she dropped, hee-hee.  She got a special joy of giving to family and friends, especially at Christmas time and birthdays.  She never forgot a special occasion, with a card or letter of concern to brighten, their day.  She kept Hallmark, in business. That's for sure! Beth became a full-time caregiver to James, for 8 years, until he passed away on October 7, 2007. Beth was a loving and generous woman, who loved her family, beyond words.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Proceeded in death, to their Heavenly homes, were her parents Joe and Cora Tuggle, and her wonderful husband of 51 years, James Hamilton, whom she loved dearly and gave her heart and soul to, for a storybook romance.

Left to cherish their Momma's memories are her daughter, Connie Hamilton Cochran, and son, Jimmy and wife Lori Hamilton; grandchildren, Heather Elizabeth Cochran, Cassidy Rose Cochran, James Austin Hamilton, Ayden Shawn Hamilton; Momma's loving brother and sister-in-law, Joe Martin Tuggle and wife, Linda; nieces and nephew, Shannon Tuggle Skinner, Lane Tuggle, Ann Moore Anerson, and Christy Hall; and a very, special first cousin, Margaret Ann Crump, whom she loved as a sister.

Serving as pallbearers were Jerry Crump, Lane Tuggle, Wes Roan, Michael Allen, Austin Hamilton, and Billy Hardy.

In lieu of flowers to honor Beth, her family suggest memorials be made to Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Beth’s life motto was, “Never take advantage of the one you love, because you never know when God may decide to use them for a greater cause.”
