Elizabeth Margaret "Liz" "Ebby" Cunningham, 77, passed away on July 21, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri. Born on July 1, 1948, in Miles City, Montana, she lived a life marked by creativity, devotion to family, and a heart full of gratitude.
Elizabeth was the beloved daughter of Clara Gluba and Charles Cunningham. She was raised alongside her siblings in a close-knit family and later welcomed the guidance of her stepfather, Leo Gluba. Throughout her life, Elizabeth remained deeply connected to her roots and carried forward the values instilled in her from an early age.
She found joy in the simple pleasures of life-especially in crafting. Elizabeth had a special talent for cross stitch and creating intricate plastic canvas and yarn crafts. From Kleenex box covers to jewelry boxes and picture frames, each piece she made was a reflection of her patience and love for detail. Her handiwork not only decorated homes but also served as cherished gifts that carried her warmth into the lives of others.
Family was at the center of Elizabeth's world. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Tilesha (Ron) Stanfield and son Robbie Cunningham (Brittany Beckham). She also embraced her stepchildren Robert (Teresa) Filbeck Jr., Tim Filbeck, and Angel (Charles) Hooper as part of her extended family.
Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Brooke (Sam) Marshall, Mariah (Billy) Welch, Damon Cunningham, Kyler Cunningham, Kaylin Cunningham, Jayden Hance, Nevaeh Cunningham, Crystal Filbeck, Courtney Filbeck, Chad Filbeck, Tim Filbeck Jr, Justin Filbeck, Dustin Filbeck, Adriana Filbeck, Charlie Hooper, and Brandy Grimes. She was also blessed with 25 great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her later years.
Elizabeth is survived by her sister Cathie Cunningham and brothers, Gabe and Dan Cunningham. She held dear the memories of those who preceded her in death: her husband Robert Filbeck; mother Clara Gluba; stepfather Leo Gluba; father Charles Cunningham; sisters Rose Clara Jandt, MaryAnn Jandt, Bernadette Bryan; and brother Joe Jandt.
Those who knew Elizabeth will remember her for the way she cherished every moment spent with loved ones. Her grateful heart shone through in all she did-whether sharing stories over coffee or offering a handmade gift with a smile. Her presence brought smiles and joy to gatherings large and small.
May Elizabeth's memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Hood United Methodist Church 139 N. Walnut Ave. Services will be held in the traditional sanctuary on the northeast side of the church.
