Elizabeth (Liz) Fabela, age 62, passed away on December 31, 2024, at UC Health University of Colorado in Aurora, Colorado. She was born on March 26, 1962, in Fabens, Texas to Manuela Herrera and Felix Carillo.
Liz graduated from Fabens High School in 1980. She married her late husband, Andres (Andy) Fabela Jr in 1984 and soon after, they moved to Artesia. Liz was known for her dedication to her family, cherishing every moment spent with her grandchildren, children, family, and friends. She was a hard worker who took great joy in helping others. She will be remembered for her caring heart, warm smile, and friendly personality.
Survivors include her daughter Andria Tavera and husband Jason Tavera; sons Andres Fabela lll and Alejandro Fabela; brothers Juan Parra and Luis Herrera; 20 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughters Valerie Gonzales and Chrisy Fabela; brother Lencho Parra.
Services will be held at 9:30 AM on Friday, January 24, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Woodbine Cemetery, with a reception gathering to take place at the church hall.
Liz will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
