Elizabeth (Beth) Fox followed the sun to heaven on Friday, June 7 2024 as it set at the end of a gorgeous day. God knew it was time to wrap her beautiful soul in his love and share her with loved ones and friends already there waiting with open arms.
Beth fought a long battle with Alzheimer's/Dementia for over a decade but, even though her voice was taken from her years ago, she never forgot a face or a voice and her eyes spoke volumes. She enjoyed every second of her many visits from her loving husband, Skip, her adoring daughter Melissa, and her dear grandsons Andrew and Tommy. They would all play her favorite music, take her outdoors in the sun, and recount so many wonderful family memories as she smiled with joy and recollection. Those days with her were priceless.
Throughout her beautiful life, Beth was a one-of-a-kind daughter, wife, mother, Nana, and dear friend to so many just a beautiful soul we were all blessed to know and love dearly.
Beth was a cheerleader and graduate of Wall High School who married her high school sweetheart, a Manasquan football player named Skip. They met on May 3, 1963. She spent much of her time outside of school working at her parent's restaurant in Manasquan, Jean's Restaurant, talking to and befriending all who walked through the door. Her favorite was spending time with others, making them the center of her attention and putting smiles on their faces. Throughout her life, she had a true love of traveling, and would often say "put me on a plane or in a car and send me somewhere to see something new and I am happy" her children and grandchildren definitely inherited that love of traveling from her.
Beth worked for many years in the Wall Public Schools in the cafeteriasat both Wall High School and Wall Intermediate School and was a smiling face for students and faculty to enjoy each day as she greeted them, served them lovingly, and made each person feel special.
She put her family, especially her children and grandchildren, first and foremost always. The joy on her face and theirs as they shared special moments will forever be etched in the memories of those lucky enough to witness them.
A special soul with the biggest heart She will be missed immensely and welcomed into heaven by loved ones, and will finally have her voice back after so many years. Fly high and shine brightly, we love you so!
Beth is predeceased by her beloved and beautiful parents, Peter and Jean Pinnella. She is survived by her loving husband and lifetime love of 61 years, John (Skip) Fox, Jr. She is also survived by her 3 adoring daughters Melissa Mazza, Heather Thacker and Cassandra Jackson along with 6 gorgeous grandchildren, who were the light of her life, Andrew and Thomas Mazza, Darragh and Finola Thacker, and Juniper and Pippa Jackson. She was also survived by her loving sons in law George Mazza, Paul Thacker, and Justin Jackson.
In lieu of flowers, we would love friends and loved ones to send a special memory, funny story, or time shared with Beth through the years to Melissa Mazza, PO Box 408, Allenwood, NJ 08720 so that it can be read or included as we come together for her Celebration of Life on July 21st. If you know someone who knew Beth and may miss this and want to take part in celebrating her special presence, please share this with them. These letters and stories will also serve as a keepsake and comfort to read in the years to come to keep her beautiful spirit alive. Beth's Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2024 from 1:00-4:00pm at the South Wall Fire House, 2605 Atlantic Ave, Allenwood, NJ 08720.
Beth will be laid to rest at St. Catharine Cemetery, Sea Girt, with her parents and her husband will join them there upon his death.
Services are entrusted to Jersey Shore Cremation, 43 Taylor Avenue, Manasquan, NJ.
