Elizabeth Freeman, a cherished soul born on August 20, 1929, in East Rutherford, New Jersey, departed from this world peacefully on October 11, 2024, at Complete Care at Milford Manor in West Milford, New Jersey. A high school graduate, Elizabeth’s path took her through various endeavors, beginning as an Avon Sales Representative before dedicating her skills as a line worker at Johnson Associates. Throughout her life, she epitomized graciousness, kindness, and unselfishness, leaving a profound impact on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Elizabeth was not just a worker but an artist at heart, nurturing her creative spirit with hobbies that included wood carvings of ducks and the graceful art of calligraphy. She was also known for her love of singing, a talent that undoubtedly brought joy to many. Her warmth and caring nature were reflected in her relationships with family and friends, particularly her deep connection with the members of Christ Chapel Evangelical Free Church in Kinnelon, now known as Kinnelon Baptist Church.
She is survived by her beloved nephews, Thomas Huyler, Kenneth C. Stillman, and Kevin B. Stillman, along with her dear niece, Karen E. Breitinger. Additionally, she is lovingly remembered by her step-grandson, Christopher Freeman, and an array of friends whose lives she touched with her compassion and grace.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her father, Karl Ahlbrand; her mother, Elizabeth (nee Willie) Ahlbrand; and her sisters Mildred Stillman and Helen Huyler. Her proudest accomplishment in life was her unwavering faith, as she truly knew the Lord Jesus Christ.
As we gather in remembrance of Elizabeth Freeman, we celebrate a life richly lived and a spirit that has returned to the Lord, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith.
