Wickham Family Funeral Home - CherryvaleElizabeth Jane Goodwin passed away peacefully on February 18th, 2026, at San Gabriel Care and Rehabilitation Center in Round Rock, TX.
Jane was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma, on December 8, 1931,
to Benjamin Franklin and Anna Lee Harryman. She attended Shidler Public Schools before earning her Master’s Degree in Education from Central State College in Edmond, OK. She spent decades shaping young minds in early childhood classrooms in Bartlesville, OK, Moore, OK, and finally Cherryvale, Kansas.
Always an active member in her church, she played piano and organ for many years at Bluestem Baptist Church in Dewey, OK, and at First Southern Baptist Church in Cherryvale, where she also taught Sunday School. She also loved gardening, hosting friends, and was a voracious reader. She and Jack opened their hearts wide, always ready with a smile or a helping hand.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband Jack, she is survived by her children and their spouses: Janet (Rick) Matetich, Mark Listen, and Laurie (David) Rigsby; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A brief graveside service will be held Monday, February 23, 2026, at 11:00 A.M., in Fairview Cemetery, Cherryvale, Kansas.
Services are under the guidance and personal care of Wickham Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas 67335.
