Elizabeth Colleen Hartung, age 90, passed away on July 23, 2024, in Kansas City, Missouri. Born on February 23, 1934, in Lebanon, Missouri, she was a beacon of warmth and love throughout her life.
Affectionately known as Granny, Betty dedicated herself to caring for others, cherishing her family above all. Her life was a testament to love and compassion, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she met.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband Karl Hartung; children Susan Clemmons, Jeaneeta Love, Stephen Clemmons, Stanley Clemmons; siblings Kinder Esther, Irene Mott, Eugenia Esther, Dale Esther, Dean Esther, Joseph Esther; parents Walter and Lula Esther.
She is survived by stepdaughter Janie Dewall (Tom) of New Franklin, MO; grandchildren Sean Clemmons (Brianna) of Bentonville, AR, Brett Love (Natasha) of Kansas City, MO, Evan Clemmons of St. Joseph, MO, Chris Dewall (PJ) of Villa Ridge, MO, and Mark Dewall of Jefferson City, MO. Her cherished great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive her.
A memorial and celebration of life will be held at Park Lawn Funeral Home - Northland Chapel, located at 1640 N State Route 291, Liberty, MO 64068, on Friday, August 9th, at 1 PM. The funeral home is honored to assist with her services, ensuring that Elizabeth's life is celebrated with the dignity and love she so richly deserves.
