Raymond Eugene Robbins, age 71, of Lawson, MO was welcomed into his heavenly home on August 25, 2025, where he was reunited with his daughter, Heather.
A lifelong resident of the Kansas City North area, Ray was born in Smithville, Missouri, on April 2, 1954, to Charley and Dorothy (Ware) Robbins. After graduating from Oak Park High School in 1972, he attended William Jewell College. He briefly work for Hallmark Cards before beginning his 30-year career at the Ford Motor Company Claycomo Plant. Ray worked his way up from the assembly line to a paint inspector before retiring.
Ray had a love for travel and enjoyed taking his family on trips to Florida. He also like to go Branson, and travel across the country. He was also a devoted fan of the Kansas City Comets, enthusiastically cheering them on at their games. An active member of Linden Baptist Church, Ray’s faith was a central part of his life, and he loved singing in the choir and serving as a deacon taking offerings to the alter during Sunday services.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Heather, who passed away in 2006. Raymond is survived by his daughter, Melissa Hutcherson (Johnathan); his granddaughter, Kiera Hutcherson; and his grandson, Isaiah Robbins-Head and his great grandson Spencer Head. He also leaves behind his sister, Rhonda Monning (Brent); his brother, Randall Robbins; several nieces and nephews; and a host of cherished friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, 1640 MO Route 291 Hwy, Liberty, MO 64068. Interment will follow at Converse Cemetery in Converse, MO.
The family requests that contributions be made to the “Raymond Robbins Go Fund Me Page” to assist with funeral costs, in lieu of flowers.
