A life-long resident of Milwaukee and especially the North Shore, she was born to Antonio Giorgi, Anglicized to George, and Angeline George (nee Siragusa).
Elizabeth was preceded in death by both her parents, her dearly beloved husband Richard Ralph Hermann, Richard s parents, her brother Roy George, sister Lucille Viglia then Kopecky, sister in law Arlene Hermann, brothers in law Allan and Milton Hermann, grandson Stephen Leitzke, and far, far too many friends. She is survived by her sister Catherine Gazzana, brother-in-law Wayne Hermann, son Richard Hermann and wife Marianne, daughter Arlene Hermann-Leitzke, and grand-daughters Jennifer Leitzke-Rude, and Megan Bourgnignon and by her son s second wife s children Miska Angelides, Gina Atencio, and Piia Thomas as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was a graduate of Lincoln High School, and held a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in Guidance and Counseling both from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. Her career as a psychologist served people in various private, county, and state institutions. She ended her career with a long stint as a counselor in the division of Vocational Rehabilitation. She was honored to help and care for people, especially the disabled.
Elizabeth was a member of the Italian Community Center, Bay Players, and attended the United Methodist Church of Whitefish Bay. The Milwaukee Symphony, Milwaukee Repertoire Theatre, and the Milwaukee Ballet frequently found her in attendance. Elizabeth enjoyed traveling to Europe and within the United States. She was a loyal, wise, and compassionate family member and friend.
