Elizabeth "Betty" Anne Isaac (nee Green) age 88 years of Paulsboro passed away on Saturday October 18, 2025 in Shady Lane Nursing Home with her daughters by her side. She was born in Ridley Park, PA to the late Matthew and Dorothy Green and raised in Springfield, PA. after her marriage in 1958, she moved with her husband to Paulsboro where she was Business Manager of Paulsboro Printers for over forty years. Betty also worked as the Business Manager for the Paulsboro Record, a weekly newspaper in Paulsboro, also doing payroll, and layout for the paper.
Betty was a faithful member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, St. John's Church where she was secretary of the PTA and room mother for all three of her daughters. She was also a past president of the Altar and Rosary Society; as well as serving as chair for several fashion shows and bazaars. She continued her civic involvement serving as Brownie Troop Leader, Secretary of the Mayor's Civil Rights Commission; and longtime Secretary of the Gill Memorial Library Board of Trustees; Past Treasurer of Paulsboro Sinawiks (the ladies group of Kiwanis International) as well as volunteering at the spring and fall cancer clinics at Gloucester County College. Betty also worked as a Real Estate agent for a few years for Coldwell Banker and Spinosi Real Estate.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara and Anthony Tierno of Marmora, Beverly Swider of Michigan City, Indiana, Bonnie Isaac of Blackwood; her grandchildren, Anthony and Kate Tierno, Bridget and Jared Ramer and Dean Swider and her great grandchildren, Michael, Grace, Mia, Malakai, Zoe and Myles. Mrs. Isaac was predeceased by her husband, Francis Isaac and her son in law, Craig Swider.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in the Spring; please check back for details. Inurnment Private in Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro. Contributions can be made in her memory to the Gill Memorial Library, 145 East Broad St., Paulsboro, NJ 08066. Arrangements by McBride – Foley Funeral Home, Paulsboro.
