Mr. George E. Zimm Jr.

George E. Zimm Jr. age 77 years of Mickleton passed away on Tuesday October 14, 2025 in his home. He was born in Camden and raised in West Deptford where he was a 1967 graduate of West Deptford High School. George retired as a Labor Foreman after 22 years of service with Local 172/472, Trenton. He continued to work for a few years afterward with Work Zone Contractors, Deptford. George was a past member of the Rotary Club, Dual Wheelers Camping Club and served on both the East Greenwich Planning and Zoning Boards. He held a U.S. and International patents for a portable paint carrier he invented for hobbyists. In his free time, George enjoyed traveling, playing shuffleboard, snow birding in Florida and hanging out with his family and friends. He also attended bimonthly meetings of the Old Geezers Breakfast Club.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Kathy Zimm (nee DuBois) of Mickleton; his children, Sharon and Emmett Reeves of Idaho, Stacy Hindeman, formerly of Clarksboro, Samuel and Memi Zimm of Louisiana; several grandchildren and his brother, Philip and Susan Zimm of Paulsboro.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Monday October 20, 2025 in the McBride – Foley Funeral Home, 228 West Broad St., Paulsboro. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Monday morning after 9 AM until service time. Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro. Memories can be shared at www.mcbridefoleyfh.com.
