Elizabeth E. Kenyon, 87, of Galilee, died peacefully on Monday morning, November 10, 2025 at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center in Honesdale. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Chauncey R. Kenyon, Sr. on July 3, 1996.
Born February 1, 1938 in Honesdale, she was the daughter of the late Julian O. and Cynthia A. (Barhite) Eldred.
Elizabeth is survived by ten children: Robert Kenyon of Florida, Donald Kenyon of Galilee, Jean MacDonald of North Babylon, Long Island NY, Joan Fasceski of Rileyville, Sandra Marshall of Honesdale, Wayne Kenyon of Rileyville, Thomas Kenyon of Galilee, Chauncey Kenyon of Scranton, Melody Kenyon of Galilee, and Andrew Kenyon of Callicoon, NY; three sisters, Gertrude Howard, Joyce Fox, and Pearl Blackburn; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a large extended family.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Kenyon; and a son, Joseph Kenyon; sisters, Eldora Burke, Evelyn Miller, and Joy Schultz; and two brothers, Thomas Eldred and Edward Eldred.
In accordance with her wishes, services will be private and held at the convenience of her family.
Private inurnment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Galilee at a later date.
Arrangements and cremation are entrusted to Howell Family Funeral Home, Inc., Edward R. Howell, Funeral Director, 269 Belmont Street, Waymart, PA 18472.
