Elizabeth R. "Gibbs" Levering

Elizabeth R. (Gibbs) Levering, 58, of Crooksville, affectionately known as Liz to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025, at Genesis Hospice Morrison House in Zanesville. Born on October 26, 1966, in Lancaster, Ohio, to the late Denny Harper and Joyce (Harris) Harper, Liz lived a life marked by compassion, laughter, and enduring love for those around her. Liz's nurturing spirit led her to a fulfilling career in nursing. She dedicated herself to providing care and comfort to those in need, both in home health care and at the Franklin County Jail. A devoted mother, Liz is survived by her daughters, Aubrey Levering (Christian Uppole) and Alaina Levering (Ryan Brun). She found great joy in her role as a mother, not only to her own children but also to her bonus daughter, Lindsey Bolyard. Liz's capacity for love extended far beyond her immediate family, as she embraced the role of "second mom" to many of her daughters' friends and was considered a grandma to all the children in her extended community. In addition to her daughters, Liz leaves behind her mother, Joyce Harper, and a host of extended family and friends who were dear to her heart, including special friends Joyce, Shannon, Julie, Karmin, Sonya,Tracy the father of her children, Dave Levering (and his wife, Carla), special family members Emily, Tyler, Taylor Brooke, David , Brook and her faithful fur baby, Piper. Liz had a passion for life that was evident in her many interests. She had a talent for crafting and making wreaths. Her love for music and poetry reflected her deep connection to the arts and her creative spirit. Liz could often be found watching her favorite TV shows, but nothing captured her heart quite like the ocean. Its vastness and beauty mesmerized her, and she found great solace in its presence. To say that Liz was known for her infectious laugh and big smile would be an understatement. She radiated joy and positivity, leaving an indelible mark on every gathering with her enthusiasm for dancing and singing. Her spirit was a beacon of light for all who knew her, and her memory would be cherished and celebrated by the many lives she brightened. Calling hours will be held Sunday October 5, 2025, from 12pm – 3pm at Ross-Frash Funeral Home, 33 N. Main Street, Roseville, where a celebration of life will be held at 3pm with Pastor Larry Taylor officiating. A dignified cremation will take place following the conclusion of services.
