Elizabeth Trivett McKinney, age 75, of Gouges Creek Road in Spruce Pine, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at the Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN.
Born on July 9, 1949 in Mitchell County, she was daughter of the late Reuben and Bertha Wilson Trivett. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joel McKinney and her brother, Bruce Trivett.
Elizabeth was a member of the Morning Star Baptist Church and was retired from Hampshire Hosiery. She loved working in her garden, working in her flowers and doing crafts.
Left to cherish her memories are her son; Dale Young and wife; Heather of Bakersville, her stepdaughter; Brandy Gouge of Spruce Pine, her grandchildren; Ryan, Amelia and Willow, her sisters; Betty McBee and husband, Larry of Spruce Pine; and Pat Byrd and husband, Bradley of Bakersville; and her brother; Bryan Trivett of Spruce Pine.
The funeral service for Elizabeth McKinney will be on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Bare officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in the Gouges Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
