Elizabeth A. Morrill

Elizabeth A. Morrill (Betty), of East Bridgewater, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025, at the age of 85, following a courageous ten-year battle with stage IV breast cancer.

Born in Brockton on February 23, 1940, Betty spent part of her childhood in Avon beforeher family settled in Brockton. She graduated from Brockton High School in 1958. Following graduation, Betty began her career in banking and later became the Human Resources Director at the Sears Service Center in Norwell, where she spent the majority of her professional life. After retiring from Sears, she continued to serve her community as a switchboard operator at Old Colony Elderly Services.

Betty loved to travel and cherished the many trips she took throughout the United States and Europe. She was an avid reader with a passion for all kinds of literature. She found joy in crocheting baby blankets and was known for her impressive bargain-hunting skills-if shopping were an Olympic sport, she surely would have taken home the gold.

She treasured her family and friends and the many gatherings they shared. She was her grandchildren's biggest supporter, never missing a game, concert, or ceremony.

Fiercely independent, Betty lived life on her own terms. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

She was predeceased by her parents, Henry T. and Theresa A. (Devin) Morrill, as well as her siblings, Henry and Theresa Morrill.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Francesshelli, and her husband, Stephen. She was the loving grandmother of Anthony Francesshelli and his wife, Briana, and of Kelsey Hatzinikolau and her husband, Niko. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Jaxson, Carter, and Vivienne. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Morrill, and his late wife, Bettilou, by her sister, Marilyne Joy, and Marilyne's husband, William and by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Friday, December 5th , 2025, from 9 AM - 11 AM at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 98 Bedford Street, Bridgewater, MA 02324. A funeral mass will be held at 11:30 AM at St. Ann's Church in West

Bridgewater. Burial to follow at St. Michael's Cemetery in Avon.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty's memory can be made to the Green Cancer Center at Brockton Hospital.
