COVINGTON, GA - Elizabeth (Liz) Oller of Covington, Georgia, went to be with the Lord at her residence on Saturday, August 30th, 2025, at the age of 75. During her lifetime, she touched the lives of many, from her time as a paraprofessional to the owner of her very own day care center, Liz's Kiddie Korale in Cuthbert, Georgia. In her later years, she served in her church and was recognized many times for her love of all God's children. She was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and friend to all. She spent most of her days in her garden, flower bed, or caring for her family and loved ones.
A visitation that will honor her love of life will occur on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025, at Hughes & Wright Funeral Home from 11 am - 1 pm, and a service will immediately follow at Friendship Baptist Church cemetery. All who knew and loved Mrs. Liz are welcome to attend and gather in her honor. The service and tribute to her life will be delivered by Pastor Jerry Jones of Stewart Baptist Church.
Liz was preceded in death by her mother and father, Lucille and Ira Lee Hartley, her sibling Bobby Hartley, Darthy Warren, Earl Hartley, Henry Hartley, Ira Gordon, and her son, David Gerald Oller. She leaves behind the love of her life and husband of 59 years, David Oller, her beloved son Mark Oller, her dearest two granddaughters Bailey and Briley Oller, as well as her sister Barbara Hartley.
All who knew her knew how infectious her laugh was. She was always happy, laughing and joking with others. Her favorite place to be was surrounded by her closest friends and family in her garden or with her flowers in her extensive flowerbed. She always loved working with children and being creative, and spending time in and observing God's creation was one of her favorite things to do.
To all of those who knew Liz, her legacy of love and faithfulness will continue through all those whom she touched with her life through generations.
