Elizabeth Diane Perkins, age 75, and a resident of Union, MS, died Saturday, October 25, 2025, in Meridian, MS, following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30am on Wednesday, October 29th, at the Unity Assembly of God Church under the care of OTT & LEE Funeral Home of Forest, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10am till the service time at 10:30. Bro. John Goodhue and Bro. Kiley Culpepper will officiate.
She was born on May 27, 1950, to her parents, Bill Wadsworth and Lillie Burnham Wadsworth, in Brandon, MS. She had lived in this area most of her life. She was a member of the Unity Assembly of God Church near Lake, MS. She had worked at Peco Foods until her retirement. She enjoyed life to the fullest. Diane, as she was known by all her family and friends, never missed a moment to visit with those whom she cared for. She loved the outdoors and especially fishing. Diane will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Mary Ann Wadsworth, Lester Lynn Wadsworth, and Deborah Ainsworth.
Survivors include her three children: Melissa Barnett of Union, Georgia Smith (Billy Culpepper) of Mize, MS, and Rodney Perkins. She is also survived by siblings: Willie Jewel Wadsworth, Jo Helen King, Sherry Wadsworth, and Norma Jean Faulkner. She also leaves a legacy of 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Jonathan Jones, Garyon Wileer, Ronald Ballard, Hayden Perkins, Donnie Meeks, and Tommy Bates.
