Roger Dale Ivy, June 30, 1956-November 11, 2025

Roger Dale Ivy age 69 and a resident of the Heater Ridge Community of Smith County, died Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in Jackson following a lengthy illness.

Visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 2:00pm Saturday, November 15, 2025.Celebration of life will be conducted at 2:00PM Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Smith County with interment to follow in South Raleigh Christian Church Cemetery. Rev. Danny Dickerson and Rev. Randy Ivy will officiate under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home of Forest. 

Roger was born on June 30, 1956, in Raleigh, MS to his parents, Robert Lester Ivy and Johnnie Lee Sullivan Ivy.

He was a loving husband, father, papaw, brother, and friend. He enjoyed his family, friends, outdoors, his westerns, and especially his grandsons. He loved Jesus and Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he was a member and served as deacon. He was self-employed for over 35 years. He cared for his family, friends, and community always giving back and helping when he could.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lester Ivy and Johnnie Lee Sullivan Ivy; sister, Shirley Jean Ivy McNeil; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Chaney Ivy; stepmother, Sylvia Hughes Ivy; mother-in-law, Eria Stringer; sister-in-law, Brenda Kay Westbrook.

He is survived by his loving devoted wife, Marsha Ivy; son, Damon Ivy; grandsons, Rhett Ivy and Drake Ivy; grand pup, Muffin; sisters, Annette Ivy Green (Mark Hankins) of Magee, MS, Diane (Danny) Dickerson, Becky (Jimmy) Burge, Debbie Dukes; brother, Dustin (Ginny) Ivy; uncle Alfred Junior (Jackie) Sullivan; very special friend, Nikki Allen; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He also leaves behind his cherished pet, Nada Jo.

Pallbearers are Damon Ivy, Rhett Ivy, Drake Ivy, Brian Cockrell, Kannon Green, Ryder Ivy, and Sydney Klaire Ivy.

Honorary Pallbearers are Dusty Ivy, Larry Joe Ivy, Ricky Ivy, Bud Parker, Robert Bray, Nikki Allen, Lakin Allen, Mark Hankins, Jake Burge, Devan Dickerson, and Donald Ivy.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Building Fund PO Box 13 Raleigh, MS 39153 in memory of Roger Ivy.
