Elizabeth Pounders Obituary
She was born in Tennessee, attended East High School in Memphis, Tennessee, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Randolph Macon College for Women, in Lynchburg, Va.
Following graduation from college she worked at the Dallas Museum of Fine Arts, and was a long time employee of the Umbrella Arts Center in Concord, MA.
She never married and had no children. She enjoyed a multitude of friends.
She is survived only by her brother, Louis Ruffin Pounders, his wife, Dorothy, of Memphis, her niece, Elizabeth Pounders Howorth of Oxford, MS, her nephew, Alan Bradley Pounders, of Memphis, and three grand nieces.
The family requests any memorials be sent to the Umbrella Arts Center in her honor.
