Published by Legacy on Jan. 2, 2023.
Elizabeth Ramsay Rammage passed away on Saturday, December 31st, 2022 at Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring, Community Hospice. Born in Alabama on October 12, 1945 to Ansil Solomon Ramsay and Estelle Kelley Ramsay, Elizabeth made her home in Jacksonville with her husband, Eugene H. Rammage (who passed away February 27, 2020), and her two sons, Chris and Scott Rammage. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and was a faithful Christian who loved her Lord and Savior.
Elizabeth was a teacher for 38 years at Terry Parker High School where she taught World History and Advanced Placement American History. During her time teaching she touched many lives and even into retirement was approached by former students thanking her for making a difference. She was passionate about everything she did. Passionate about her job, passionate about her family and her friends, and most of all passionate about her love for Jesus! She enjoyed drawing, spending time with family and friends, traveling and loved life to the fullest. After retiring from teaching she continued to pursue her passions and co-published three children's books. Elizabeth was also a member of Connection Church of Jacksonville which is in Arlington. Elizabeth leaves behind her two sons, Chris (wife Melissa) and Scott (wife Ashley) and 5 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 14th, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills, 850 St. John's Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225. Joe Newton will serve as officiant. The family will receive friends one hour prior at 1:00 p.m.
