Vera Marie Rammage, Oklahoma City resident, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 in Oklahoma City at the age of 82. Vera was born on March 31, 1943 in Seminole to Homer Morris and Vera Mae (Mason) Montgomery. She spent many years in the far SW corner of Kansas. She graduated from Felt High School in 1960. She moved back to Seminole in 1977 and to Oklahoma City in 2021. Vera married Alvie Thomas “Tommie” Rammage on May 28, 1959 in Seminole, OK. Tommie passed away in 2021. It was very difficult for her to adjust to life without him. She moved to Village on the Park (senior living) and did very well there until her passing.
Vera was an avid painter and sewer. She loved doing research on her family tree. Vera took great joy in gardening. She was a long time member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church and a more recent member of Southern Hills Baptist Church.
Vera was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tommie and her siblings.
Vera is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Kirk Alan and Marni Rammage of Dewey, OK and Keith Dane and Sharon Rammage of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren, Kathryn and Joshua and many other family and friends.
Viewing will be from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 and from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 8, 2025 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, OK. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
