Elizabeth Ann Reese, age 68, of Columbus, Ohio peacefully passed away on December 31, 2022.
She was the daughter of the late Nimrod Reese and Christine Reese. Elizabeth, affectionately known as "Libby" or "Lib" to many family members but often preferring to be called "Liz," was born on April 13,1954. Elizabeth was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and cousin.
A graduate of Bishop Hartley High School, in Columbus, Ohio, Elizabeth went on to be the Business Manager of her father's business, A&C Construction for over 25 years. She attended Franklin University and loved learning and self-development. Elizabeth had an entrepreneurial spirit and before retiring spent a lot of time doing administrative work for others.
Liz was an avid park lover. In her youth, she loved to travel. In the latest years of her life, Lib worked intermittently as an administrative assistant for Grace New Covenant Church and Broad Street Presbyterian Church Food Pantry. She loved "good preaching" and praise and worship songs.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents William Eugene Reese and Alberta Taylor Reese Cross, maternal grandparents William Henry Lucas and Rowena Lucas, parents Nimrod Reese and Christine Reese, brothers Eddie Reese and Christopher Reese, sister Candice Patrick, and grandchild Mekhi Reese.
She is survived and will be missed by her son, Marcus Reese (Columbus, Ohio); and grandsons Marquel Reese (Columbus, Ohio), Marcus Reese, Jr. (Cincinnati, Ohio) and granddaughter, Markissa (Cincinnati, Ohio); her sisters, Jane Reese (Columbus, Ohio), Ellen Chambers (Los Angeles, California), and Charlene Austin (California); brothers, Douglas Reese (Atlanta, Georgia), Nimrod Reese, Jr. (Pasadena, California), Ricardo Jones (Columbus, Ohio); cousin-big-sisters, Christine Kemp and Katherine-Margaret Dunbar; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
