ELIZABETH V. “BETTY” REGAN, age 101 and a lifelong resident of Edgewater, passed away peacefully in her home on July 20, 2025. She was born in Edgewater on October 19, 1923, the daughter of Patrick and Ann Oates. She attended public school in Edgewater and graduated from the Academy of the Holy Angels, Class of 1941. She worked in the office of the Aluminum Company of America until she left to have children. After the children were raised, she worked in the business owned by her husband, Kogan and Company Plumbing and Heating Supplies. Beloved wife of the late Raymond Regan (2001), devoted mother of Robert, Mary Brakey, Raymond and John. Cherished grandmother of Kathleen, Ian, Allison, Michael and Christopher and great grandmother of Everett, Mary Amelia and Luke. Dear sister of the late Nancy Dalton. The family will receive their friends on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Frank Patti & Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home, 327 Main Street, Fort Lee (opposite the Fort Lee Library). The funeral will leave at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 26 for the celebration of her funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Rosary in Edgewater where she was a lifelong parishioner. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Hackensack. In lieu of flowers, donations to Holy Rosary Church or the Edgewater Volunteer Ambulance Corps. would be appreciated.
