Elizabeth T. Shaw, 91, passed away after a brief illness February 10, 2026. She was born July 30, 1934 in Akron, the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Toris. Betty will always be remembered as a wonderful and caring person who was devoted to her family. In her free time, she loved to take a trip to Amish country, tending to her garden, and doing needlepoint. In addtion to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings Steven, Benjamin, and Irene. Betty is survived by her loving husband of almost 69 years James T. Shaw; sons Thomas James (Stacy) Shaw, Timothy Paul Shaw, and Mark David (Tina) Shaw; grandchildren Ryan Shaw, Zachary (Samantha) Shaw, Lauren Shaw, and Lindsey (Isaiah) Wolford; her sister Katherine Hudson; brother David Toris; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as good friend Marilyn Weaver of Johnstown, PA. Per her wishes, cremation will take place and her family will celebrate her life privately. She will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
