We first met Betty and Mike when they moved into the house next to ours 44 years ago. My first real memory is of them coming over to tell us that they were expecting their first child. I was just about to give birth to our fourth child. From there, our friendship just grew. We supported each other through child-raising years and shared interests in gardening, cooking, ceramics and, of course, our faith. I couldn't have asked for a better neighbor. She was very kind and had so much common sense. I learned from her and we shared a lot of laughs. I'm happy that her suffering has ended and she is in the arms of the Lord, but, I will miss her terribly.
