Elizabeth Anne Taggart (Durie), best known as BettyAnne, died peacefully on January 9, 2023 with her family by her side at home in Warminster, PA.
She was born November 7, 1945 in Philadelphia, PA, daughter to Elizabeth and John Durie. Her father was a truck driver. Her Mother a crossing guard.
She had a large family which included 8 brothers and sisters. She was smack in the middle. Oldest brother John (Maryellen), Patrick, Peggy (known as Sissy) (Tom), Thomas (known as DeeDee), (Carole) and then her, Rosemarie (Lance), Joseph, Leona, known as Terry, (Jim) and Michael.
Growing up, the family enjoyed their time at St. Joe's Lake and Vic's Picnics, every year, with Aunt Mary & Uncle Al.
She graduated from Lourdes Mount Academy in Scranton, 1963.
She had a heart of gold and would take in any stray, also known as family members who needed help BettyAnne was there with a caring heart.
BettyAnne, a single mother, doing the best she could, with family and friends' help. She had many tedious, jobs in factories and HIJOP Butcher shop. But, she loved her job at Wawa for the past 20 years. She dreaded retiring, as she loved working there!
She enjoyed being with her family and going to the Jersey Shore. Of course, the Casino and the slot machines.
She returned to Church a number of years ago and was happy she did. When she couldn't get there she would attend virtually. She loved the Lord!
BettyAnne is survived by 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Three children, Pete, Cindy and Jimmy. She had 5 grandchildren, Bobby, Cole, Kristina, Brandon and Michelle and 3 Great Grandchildren, Myla, Leila and Jacob whom she loved each one with all her heart!
Relatives and friends are invited to Elizabeth's Memorial Visitation on Thursday January 12, 2023 from 4:00 PM until the time of her Memorial Service at 6:00 PM. Internment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made in Elizabeth's name to the National Kidney Association at https://www.kidney.org/.
