Hernando Beach, Florida – Elizabeth A. Wetherald, 82, passed away after being comforted by her family on September 11, 2025.

Beth was born on August 21, 1943, in Kahuku, Hawaii to parents Sylvester McKeague and Elizabeth Kaanaana. After graduating from high school, she met James Haley and soon married. Beth spent 28 years with James, devoting herself to her husband and children, before deciding to travel different paths. Soon she met Jerry Wetherald and they were married in 1999, remaining together until his passing in 2015.

A woman who enjoyed life, Beth’s vivaciousness and joy made her the life of any party. She loved to cook for her family and always had a joke in her back pocket. She carried with her a keen interest and knowledge of her native Hawaiian culture as well.

Beth is survived by her children, Renee Renschen (Rick), Bret Haley (Phyllis), Shauna Mulligan (Greg), and Babette Haley; as well as ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at graveside on October 4, 2025, at Washington Park East Cemetery, at 10 am. Guests will meet at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East Funeral Home (10722 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229) before proceeding to the cemetery.
